Attract ally units
To create the appearance of strength.

You need to attach artificial flowers to the tree to create the appearance of prosperity. If the flowers and the tree match each other, then no one will notice the fake. Then the result will be worth the effort.
Deceive the enemy by creating castles in the air. Take advantage of the fruits of someone else's victory.

Historical example:

The commander Han Lou rebelled against the Wei ruler. The dignitary of the Wei kingdom sent his close associate Hou Yuan to pacify the rebel. He gave him only seven hundred mounted warriors, explaining:
- A large army will not help your cause, because the commander Hal Law is bloodthirsty and impatient. If used skillfully, a small squad will be enough to defeat him.
To hide the small number of troops, Hou Yuan went on a campaign with excessive solemnity. In the rebel's possessions, he set up an ambush and waited for the right moment to attack. They were able to disperse a large army of rebels, capturing five thousand people. The next day, Hou Yuan ordered the release of the prisoners, explaining to the disgruntled military leaders:
- Our forces are too small. Only cunning will help us achieve our goal. We must use the enemy's strength against him. Then he will see us as we are not yet, and he himself will give the victory.
Hou Yuan waited until the prisoners returned to their fortress, and rode up with his small detachment to the fortress. His warriors began to boldly knock on the gates, demanding surrender. The rebel commander did not expect such courage and decided that the released prisoners had gone over to Hou Yuan's side. He fled and was eventually caught and executed. Thus, Hou Yuan managed to suppress a large rebellion with small forces.
